Do gamers break their gaming devices because of FromSoftware games? Nameless King from Dark Souls 3 wasn’t the first reason players broke their keyboards, gamepads, headphones, or mice. Comparethemarket.com.au released “The World’s most destructive games” report in which they surveyed gamers to determine which games infuriate gamers the most.

According to Statista, North America is the largest video game market, with a projected $80.9 billion market in 2025 — up from $56.8 billion in 2021.

Call of Duty is officially the most destructive game. 33.9% of respondents said that playing Call of Duty caused accidental damage to their homes or property, making it the most destructive game. Because the game is an intense first-person shooter, it can cause you to cause physical damage accidentally.

Fortnite is in second place, with 29.8% of players causing damage to their home; indoor ball games are in third place (no explanation needed).

Video games dominate the top ten: Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto, Super Mario Kart, and virtual reality games. However, it turns out that physical games can do almost as much damage.

Funnily enough, Monopoly came in at number 12. Known as a game in which competitive players cheat and get into arguments, we can’t say we’re surprised that 20.4% of respondents reported damage to their home or property while playing this game!
