Developer Tower Pop raises $2.1 million to make its new Web3 tower-defence game, Omega Royale.

A side note: Mino Games gets $15 million to make Dimensionals game

The funding round was led by Play Ventures, Agnitio Capital and backed by angel investor Santiago Santos. The round was the second funding round for Tower Pop, with the previous one closing in early 2021. Since that round, the developer has raised a total of $2.8 million.

Blockchain gaming is a new paradigm shift after free-to-play. Supporting Omega Royale was an easy task because the Tower Pop team consists of industry veterans who previously created the hit games Crazy Kings and Crazy Defense Heroes, solving free-to-play problems at the time. I have great confidence that the team has the highest skills to shape the playing and earning space in the best way possible to serve the community.

Omega Royale, with its unique battle royale mode, will launch in alpha version on the AppStore and Google Play Store as a mobile game in March. More than half a million games have already been played in play-to-mint, and it’s a good start with excellent retention rates.
