Chinese giant Tencent has once again pleased with its financial performance. In Q1 2023, the company was able to earn $21.8 billion, up 11% from a year earlier.

A side note: Sea’s quarterly revenue down to 51%

Incidentally, last year the Chinese holding company reported a drop in revenues for the first time in 18 years, with revenues locked in the same position for almost a full year until Q4 showed a 0.5% positive shift.


Other figures are just as interesting: for example, revenue from Chinese games for the company rose 6% to $3.5 billion, while international projects gave a boost of as much as 25%, bringing Tencent $1.89 billion.

Honor of Kings, CrossFire and Arena Breakout have earned more than any other quarter since the beginning of 2023. VALORANT‘s gross revenue is up 30% compared to the first quarter of 2022.
