The American consulting company Bain & Company has conducted a study on the use of generative AI in game development. For this purpose, it surveyed 25 top managers from game companies from all over the world.
- According to the survey results, in 5-10 years the share of games created with the help of AI will grow from 5% to more than 50%.
- Most of the top managers surveyed said that AI will speed up game development and improve quality. But only 20% believe that AI will reduce costs.
- 60% of surveyed top managers doubt that AI will be able to fully replace real employees.
- The main obstacles to the introduction of AI are: difficulties in integrating neural networks into engines and other development tools, the need to train neural networks, legal problems and high costs.
