According to Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has become the fastest-selling game in the history of PlayStation Studios.

For comparison, the original Marvel’s Spider-Man sold 3.3 million copies in the first three days of release. The previous record holder, God of War Ragnarök, broke the milestone of 5 million copies sold in 5 days.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is available exclusively on PlayStation 5, was released on October 20. The game received rave reviews from the press – its average score on Metacritic was 91/100.
