Analyst company KOCCA shared a report on the Korean gaming market in 2022.

That’s a 0.9 percent increase over 2021. Analysts attribute the weak growth to the economic recession and the lifting of anti-consumer restrictions.

Overseas, Korean companies earned $8.97 billion. That’s 67.4 percent of the revenue of all the country’s creative industries – movies, music, and so on.

At the end of 2022, gaming companies in South Korea employed 81,600 people. In 2021 there were 225 more people.
