Founders of Giga Fun Studios: Rahul Shenkar, Rahul Daha and Krishnendu Mukherjee

The founders include Krishnendu Mukherjee, former head of game design at MPL and lead product manager at Zynga; Rahul Daga, former product director at Zynga and former head of country at m56 Studios; and Rahul Shekhar, former lead engineer at m56 Studios.

We were brainstorming on the idea of creating a game studio aimed at the Indian audience, and the main problem we mutually identified was that while the current casual games, though of very high quality, they have failed to fully expose the Indian player base due to lack of cultural resonance. We are confident that with the right themes and specific mechanics, we can change the adoption and monetisation of casual games in India.

In total, the company’s founders have produced and operated more than 10 games and managed revenues of more than $100 million. Giga Fun Studios currently has six employees in Bangalore.
