The honorable first place in the top took the Belarusian publisher SayGames. The number of downloads in 2021 crossed the 1 billion mark, which is 13% more than in 2020. Over the past year, several of their games were in the world top at once.

The top 3 most breakthrough games in the world by downloads in January-March 2021 included the puzzle DOP2 Delete one Part. Sushi Roll 3D entered the top 10, and Merge Animals 3D became the world’s most popular game in November. In December, Race Master 3D ranked 6th most downloaded in the world.

And these are not all achievements. SayGames has been named one of the top 2021 global game developers by App Annie. Ranked 4th in the ranking of game dev companies with the highest number of installs. Now, the publisher’s portfolio includes 50+ launched projects and more than 2.5 billion downloads worldwide.

Last year, Playgendary games were downloaded 433 million times, down 42% from a year earlier. But this did not prevent the company from taking second place in the ranking.

Kick The Buddy Remastered entered the global top 10 last year, was ranked sixth on the AppMagic global top, and had over 15 million downloads on Google Play in November.

The Minsk studio FreePlay closes the top three. For the year, the studio’s games have 375 million downloads — 2.5 times more than in 2020. In just two years of existence, the company achieved more than 500 million downloads for all projects. The most successful among them is Count Masters (130+ million downloads). Gismart got fourth place with 275 million installs. They had a busy year. Together with Snap, they agreed to create games for the Gismart social network. The yoga app won the Webby Awards, and their sex app was named the best at The Lovie Awards. In November, Gismart surpassed 1 billion downloads. They also entered the top 20 employers in Ukraine according to Forbes and Work.ua.

The top 10 most popular publishers were closed by Wargaming. Over the past year, the company’s games have gained 31.5 million downloads — 30% less than a year earlier. In July, Wargaming, together with the Global Web Index, conducted a study of the Russian market. The results showed that the most popular game among Russian users is World of Tanks.
