U.S. indie game publisher and developer TinyBuild Games announced its acquisition of game developer and publisher Konfa Games for $5.4 million. The amount will pay 40% in cash and 60% in TinyBuild stock.
TinyBuild’s partnership with Konfa Games began several years ago. The two studios worked on the release of Despot’s Game, which came out on Steam Early Access in October 2021.
The company continues to invest in expanding its portfolio and today’s deals are a unique opportunity to bring in Konfa’s talented development team and add Bossa intellectual property to TinyBuild’s portfolio.

Acquisition of the Bossa Studios franchise
TinyBuild Games announced it had acquired the rights to Surgeon Simulator, Surgeon Simulator VR, Surgeon Simulator 2, I am Fish and I am Bread from Bossa Studios for $3 million.
Bossa Games franchises generated $6 million in revenue last year, which would be a good investment for TinyBuild Games.
Since early 2022, Bossa has focused solely on the cooperative PvE genre. The company has added innovative gameplay and improved the cooperative experience for players.

Acquiring studios is not a new experience for TinyBuild Games. The American publisher and indie game developer acquired three studios to add to its roster early last year.
Side note: Solsten raises $22 million in investment.
