Sprocket Games announced it had raised $5 million in a funding round led by Bitkraft Ventures with participation from Substrate, Gaingels and 1Up Ventures. The investment will support the development of the company’s debut game.

The company was founded by industry veterans Josiah Kiehl, Reina Sweet, Nicolas Tittley of Riot Games, and Jo Graylock of Obsidian.

Fun, engaging adventures with friends are at the core of the games the team plays and loves. Josiah, Joe, Nick, and Rayna have struck from day one as leaders who know what they are aiming for. Their vision of cooperative adventure, a rare experience in game development and the infrastructure to bring ideas to life — make the studio very promising.
