Games from Minsk studio FreePlay have reached over 500 million downloads, according to dev.by.

The company achieved it in only two years since its founding (the studio was formed in December 2019). Now, FreePlay is among the top 10 most popular game developers and publishers with Belarusian roots.

The studio’s most successful project is Join Clash, released early last year. In the game, the user has to gather like-minded people and win opponents’ battles. As of today, the game has 300+ million downloads.

The second most popular game is Count Masters (129+ million downloads), released in May this year, and within a week, it has become the most popular game in the U.S.

In Count Masters, the user needs to assemble his group of followers to crush various obstacles in his path. At the end of a level, the player must defeat the king in a final battle and take over the castle. The game ranked in the top 5 most popular games in the world in August.

The most recent successful FreePlay project is the toy trading simulator, Fidget Toys Trading. The game has 65+ million downloads to date. At the end of the third quarter, Fidget Toys Trading was the most popular game in the world, according to AppMagic.

The studio is currently working on 8 new projects. In November, FreePlay was nominated for an App2Top.ru award for achievements in the Russian game industry in the “Developer of the Year” category, as the young studio that created two of the three most downloadable hyper-casual hits. There were two more studios with Belarusian roots among the nominees – Melsoft and Belka Games.
