British free-to-play mobile developer Electric Manta has partnered with Sunday to develop hyper-casual games.

Electric Manta, founded by former PopCap Studios (Plants vs. Zombies), is mobile gaming veterans. In the future, Electric Manta plans to develop casual, hybrid and hyper-casual games.

Electric Manta and Sunday are expected to start testing game prototypes this month.

We’re the one-stop-shop for hybrid and hyper-casual games. This helps us eliminate risks while at the same time innovating both core and meta-gameplay development. We want to find core mechanics that everyone loves, and use that to create the next generation of casual games.

All the details of the partnership haven’t been disclosed yet; the main goal is a development of hyper-casual games.
