Are you a hyper-casual game developer? Want to win a $300,000 prize for your next game? Then take part in a new competition hosted by App Annie & CrazyLabs. The competition will be held on the CrazyLabs testing and analytics platform – CLIK. Developers can submit any number of games and prototypes.

CrazyLabs will offer generous rewards, including a $300,000 prize for the first published game and a $200,000 minimum guarantee for all subsequently published games.

But that’s not all. Each game that passes the CPI test can receive the following cash prizes:

  • $20,000 for CPI – less than or equal to 15 cents.
  • $10,000 for CPI – less than or equal to 25 cents.
  • $3,000 for CPI – less than or equal to 30 cents.

And remember that developers can win prizes with minimum guarantee and CPI in different games repeatedly. In other words, you can participate an infinite number of times.

Contest winners can also use a range of free App Annie services. The first 40 studios who will pass the CrazyLabs CPI test will receive a 60-days free trial of the App Annie Standard Intelligence and Game IQ platform. These services provide you with the tools to decide what types of products to develop and how best to market them to players.

App Annie Standard Intelligence helps users navigate the entire app lifecycle with mobile market data and accelerated analytics.

Game IQ, meanwhile, gives game developers detailed insight into important aspects such as class, genre, sub-genre, and tags.

Another vital incentive to take part in the App Annie/CrazyLabs Challenge is that all members who test the game in the CLIK dashboard receive the following:

  • A 2-month free trial of App Annie Standard Intelligence Lite (subject to the App Annie registration page).
  • A H1 2021 hyper-casual e-book (including details on trends, demographics, mechanics, and more).
  • Access to a webinar from App Annie & CrazyLabs with the latest hyper-casual gaming insights and insights.

In the first half of 2021, downloads of hyper-casual games grew 15% year over year, and they continue to be incredibly popular as they top the app charts. As consumers continue to discover mobile games in this fast-growing and evolving genre, it can be difficult for designers and publishers to analyze and determine what features, mechanisms and monetization strategies are gaining popularity in the market. Our Game IQ tool greatly simplifies this analysis as we allow our clients to compare genres and subgenres easily. It is now easy to see what makes popular games unique. We are delighted to offer these valuable tools to the winners of this amazing CrazyLabs competition.
